There's a baby coming, or one already here, and you want to make them something that actually looks special. This set gives you that — a bear-faced raglan sweater with little ears, embroidered eyes, and a puffy nose, paired with matching pants that have paw print knee patches and an optional footie extension.

Both pieces are worked top-down in one piece, so there are no seams to stress over and the construction flows from start to finish without interruption.

Finished Size: Preemie through 5-6 years (standard height 40-116 cm / 15-44.5 inches)

• Grows with the child. The pants are designed with extra length and a foldable hem, so you unfold as the baby gets bigger. The footie extension works the same way, converting from footies to full pant legs over time.

Materials

• Sports weight yarn (approx. 340 m/100g for sweater; 370 m/100g for pants)
• 2.5 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm) for ribbings
• 3.0 mm circular needles (60 or 80 cm) for main body
• DPN or cable needle (optional, for sleeve cuffs)
• Crochet hook for provisional cast-on
• 3 small buttons (approx. 1 cm)
• Contrast color yarn or embroidery thread for face details
• Waste yarn
• Elastic for waistband (optional)
