Finished Size: 3 sizes, fits 50 to 61 cm (19.75" to 24") head circumference

  • Clean finish, no seam matching: the knot and ends are joined with your needles and hook, so there's no lining up seams by hand.
  • Great for leftovers: change colors stripe by stripe, or mid-stripe, for a checked plaid that uses up your odds and ends.
  • Fit you can adjust: add or remove a few rows to make it snugger or roomier, so it stays put without squeezing.

Materials

  • Fingering weight yarn (merino or cotton merino), main and contrast color
  • Lace weight yarn (silk mohair), main and contrast color, held together with the fingering
  • 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle, 80 cm or longer
  • 3.5 mm or thinner circular needle, used as a spare needle
  • 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook
  • Small amount of waste yarn for the provisional cast-on
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
