Description

Knit a Giant Cozy Tassel Scarf

Most scarf patterns get confusing once you're past the cast on. This one stays a single simple two row repeat all the way to the last stitch.

No shaping, no fussy counting, just knit until it's as long as you want and bind off.
If you can knit and purl, you can finish this one.

Skill Level: Beginner-Friendly
Finished Size: 8"/20cm wide x 65"/170cm long (without tassels)

  • A single two row repeat runs the entire length, so there's no confusing stitch count to track or lose your place in.
  • Cast on more or fewer stitches to adjust the width, and knit it as long or short as you want. This one is easy to customize.
  • Long fringe tassels on both ends give the finished scarf a full, dramatic look instead of a plain edge.

"I've never finished a big project before. This one I actually wore out the door."

Materials

  • Bulky weight yarn (Category 5), approx. 400 yards/365m, single color or multicolored/ombre
  • US size 11 (8mm) knitting needles
  • Crochet hook (for adding the tassels)
  • Scissors and a measuring tape
