How it comes together
Work the back yoke flat, pick up and shape each shoulder, then join front and back under the arms. Work the body in the round and pick up the sleeves and folded neckline.
Check your yarn, tools and measurements before casting on.
Twelve sizes from 1–2 to 12–14 years. Finished chest circumferences: 72 / 76 / 80 / 84 / 84 / 88 / 88 / 92 / 96 / 100 / 104 / 108 cm, in size order.
Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (125 m per 50 g): main colour 150–300 g, second colour 50–150 g, third colour 50–100 g depending on size. Use 4.5 mm circular needles and DPNs or a long circular for magic loop, markers and a tapestry needle.
Gauge: 17 stitches × 22 rows per 10 cm in stockinette.
What to know before your first row.
A seven-page English PDF with size-specific written instructions, a stripe sequence, measurements, gauge and materials. The back yoke begins flat; shoulders are worked separately before front and back are joined.
Intermediate: work flat and in the round, change colours, make increases and decreases, pick up sleeve and neckline stitches, and use an Italian bind-off.
A written sequence lists the number of rows for each colour. Follow the sequence as you work the body and sleeves.
