What is inside the pattern?

English instructions with lace charts and a size guide for eleven sizes, XXS–6X.

The circular-yoke tee is worked top down. Sleeve stitches are held while the body is worked, then resumed later; the garment has no assembly seams.

Is this the right level for me?

Intermediate / advanced. Be comfortable following lace charts, working in the round and managing shaping within a decorative yoke.

Two strands are held together throughout. The yoke asks for close attention to its lace and increases before the knitting moves into the body.

Materials needed

Hold two laceweight yarns together throughout: a mohair/silk yarn around 420 m per 50 g, and a linen yarn around 840 m per 100 g.

Buying quantities by size XXS–6X: mohair/silk, 2 / 2 / 2 / 2 / 3 / 3 / 4 / 4 / 5 / 5 / 5 skeins of 50 g. Linen, 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 2 / 2 / 2 / 3 / 3 / 3 / 3 skeins of 100 g. These are full-skein quantities at the specified lengths, not interchangeable ball counts for other yarns.

3 mm and 4 mm circular needles with 40, 60 and 100 cm cables. Use the short cable at the neckline and longer cables as the stitch count grows.

The finished project

A familiar tee, with a fabric all its own

The lace expands across the circular yoke, with its increases integrated into the decorative motif. The linen strand brings structure; the mohair-and-silk strand changes the surface and drape.

Swatch the two yarns together before choosing substitutions. The final fabric matters as much as matching a yarn-weight label.

Your time with the needles

Give the yoke your attention, then follow it down

Begin at the neck and work the yoke in the round. Gradual increases create the space for the shoulders and sleeves without separate seams.

After holding the sleeve stitches, continue the body and return to each sleeve. Choose the finished bust with ease in mind before you cast on.

A few things before you begin

Choose your size, check your yarn and plan your first stitches.

Is this a beginner lace project?

This is an intermediate-to-advanced project. The lace includes the yoke shaping, so it suits knitters already comfortable following lace instructions in the round.

Are the two yarns used separately?

No. Hold the linen and mohair/silk strands together throughout. Check the gauge and fabric with both strands in the swatch.

What gauge should I aim for?

19 stitches × 28 rows per 10 cm in stockinette using 4 mm needles and both yarns held together.
